3D Exploration Mapper
3D Exploration Mapper is developed using ESRI ArcObjects 9.2/9.3 in the Microsoft .NET framework. For high-performance rendering of 3D graphics Microsoft DirectX 9 is utilized. It can be used as an extension to ESRI ArcMap 9.2/9.3. Alternatively it can be used as a stand-alone program with an ESRI ArcGIS Engine License.
Summary of main features:
- Data can be loaded from file, geodatabase or ArcSDE
- Easy data loading - drag your AOI rectangle in ArcMap and the Viewer loads your selected data automatically
- Digital elevation models
- Surface textures (Remote sensing imagery, Topographical maps, Thematic/geologic maps)
- Seismic profiles (SEGY files, image formats)
- Borehole logs (LAS files, from database)
- Seismic horizons, subsurfaces and other geophysical data
- Shapefiles (points, lines, polygons, multipatches)
- DXF files (CAD data file format)
- Isosurface extraction from volume datasets (e.g. 3D seismic)
- Surface interpolation, fault plane digitalization
- Point, line and polygon feature digitalization in three dimensions
- Geophysical data and raster processing tools
- Real-time lighting/shading effects (Fully adjustable lighting parameters, Highlights/reflections)
- Intuitive fly-through controls, heads-up-display (HUD)
- Creation of high resolution screenshots
