Digital Elevation Models

Digital Elevation Models (DEM) are a crucial ingredient in a great number of GIS and modelling applications. Furthermore, stunning 3D-visualisations of the terrain can be produced by merging DEM data with Earth Observation Imagery.

Off-the-Shelf High Resolution Elevation Products can be provided by GAF for most regions worldwide and with a variety of formats and grid postings (horizontal resolutions):

GAF can also offer customised production of high resolution elevation data from optical and radar VHR satellite imagery (e.g. GeoEye, Worldview, Cosmo-Skymed) for many regions worldwide, depending on source data availability. Other DEM products offered on the market, like e.g. Intermap's NextMap high resolution elevation data, can be provided through GAF on request. Furthermore, DEM data from your own sources or from the public domain (e.g. SRTM) can be used by GAF on your request to enhance area coverage and reliability of height information.
