Digital Elevation Models

Digital Elevation Models (DEM) are a crucial ingredient in a great number of GIS and modelling applications. Furthermore, stunning 3D-visualisations of the terrain can be produced by merging DEM data with Earth Observation Imagery.

GAF offers off-the-shelf DEMs with a variety of grid postings and formats. Elevation Data can be provided area-wide for large parts of Europe and for many regions worldwide.

Depending on source data availability (e.g. Ikonos, Worldview, Cosmo-Skymed) GAF can also offer the production of high accuracy elevation data from anywhere in the world. Furthermore, DEM data from your own sources or from the public domain (e.g. SRTM) can be used by GAF on your request to enhance area coverage and reliability of height information.
