Forestry Senior Expert for Remote Sensing Based Projects (m/f)

Support of national and international projects implementation in the Forestry / GMES domain

• Educational background in forest and environmental sciences
• Management of Forest and Environmental Projects (min 5 years) in Europe and developing countries
• Project coordination / administration work 
• Proven ability to work in complex, multi-task team situation
• Remote Sensing background and technical experience

Required technical skills:

• Remote sensing background
• Advanced image processing / land cover classification 
• Advanced GIS skills
• Advanced/Good MS Office skills

Personnel Skills:

• Good communication skills for team work, correspondence, presentations
• Willingness and ability to familiarise with new topics quickly
• High level of self-organisation 
• Ability to work under time pressure / on deadlines; also pursue/keep track of longer term actions
• Willingness to travel and attend meetings

Language Requirements:

• Advanced English and French language skills
• Report writing experience and skills (English, French, German)

Start as soon as possible, duration 1- or 2-year contract, with option of subsequent permanent employment
