GAF AG at INTERGEO 2009

As in previous years, the Munich-based company GAF AG again made a successful appearance at the event and was accompanied this time by its largest collection of partner companies to date. Alongside GAF AG, the partners e-GEOS, Euromap GmbH, European Space Imaging, SPOT Image, Intermap GmbH and the German GIS Round Table Association were represented at the attractive stand positioned centrally in hall 4. The stand thus provided visitors with information about and demonstrations of an unusually wide range of products and associated services in the fields of geo-information and satellite data.
The event also witnessed the first official presentation by the company of the new Euro-Maps LC land use data set. This highly accurate product, created in cooperation with Euromap GmbH, contains all the important land use and land cover classes across the whole of Germany. It thus offers an up-to-date, high precision and homogenous data set for a wide range of applications in the fields of planning and modelling.
But it was not only this new product that was well received at the trade fair. "We have noted with pride and joy that our stand is increasingly becoming the venue of choice for professional visitors searching for interesting and very high quality products and new developments, as well as associated services, in the fields of geo-information and satellite data," concludes Dr. Peter Volk, Managing Director of GAF AG, as he sums up the event. "This trade fair also offers excellent opportunities for personal interaction with customers and partners, which gives us the chance to pick up on the somewhat quieter and more informal noises reverberating around the sector. And the feedback we have received from these contacts has been almost entirely positive, which gives us even more motivation for the upcoming business year."
