GeoRover

GeoRover® is an easy-to-use customizable and mobile software tool especially designed for geologists and is borne from real mapping practice. It is meant to speed up the fieldwork and map creation significantly and enhances the geological mapping process considerably due to the intelligent combination of traditional geological mapping practice, modern spatial data management, GIS and GPS technology. GeoRover® offers a new way to integrate, edit and create high-performance spatial data into the mapping process and makes all data quickly and precisely accessible in the office and the field. For the collection of field data the software can be used on any hardware platform that is using MS Windows® or MS Windows Mobile®, allowing the use of PDAs, tablets or smart phones in remote areas. The mutual data transfer between various platforms is easily achieved resulting in a growing, precise and easily manageable GIS project database. GeoRover® is based on ArcGIS Engine® and is therefore fully compatible with ArcGIS® and other ESRI® software packages.

With the release of the free trial version of GeoRover®, GAF AG set up an internet forum, facilitating the communication and exchange of ideas amongst users. Once registered you can download the latest version of GeoRover® and participate in the discussion by reviewing and posting comments. The forum is supervised regularly by GAF AG experts.
