LaFIS-SSK

GAF has developed a web-based GIS framework for Environmental Information Systems. This framework is easy to adapt to user needs for specific environmental tasks. For example, in the German province of Saxony-Anhalt the framework has been used for the development of barn and farm registers (Stall- und Standortkataster – LaFIS®-SSK) for the planning and documentation of nominal emissions. This is based on the German Federal Law for Emission Protection. LaFIS®-SSK manages sources of emissions and indicates conflicts with protected areas.
