OrbView - 3

GeoEye successfully launched its OrbView-3 high-resolution imaging satellite on June 26, 2003.

OrbView-3 has collect one-meter panchromatic (black and white) and four-meter multispectral (colour) imagery at a swath width of 8 km. The data will contribute to mapping, agricultural and urban planning, weather research and military surveillance.
