In this radar image, an identification of different ice types (A, B, C) in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Prince Edward Island, Canada can be carried out. This is possible due to the different densities of ice in the gulf which reflect the radar signal back to the satellite. © Canadian Space Agency, 1996.
