GAF ( is a Munich/Germany based consulting company specialised in geo-information (GI)solutions for natural resource management. The company has pioneered a number of business lines in the mining consulting sector for governments, inter alia mining cadasters, mineral and geological information systems, and large, GI-supported reconnaisance geological mapping.

To successfully implement our mining cadaster projects for governmental clients, we are constantly looking for mining cadastre experts with a solid background in mining title management and the ability to define and transfer administrative processes into computer-assisted workflows.

Our powerful open-source based flagship product eMC+ is ideally suited especially for government customers and is giving our projects a leading competitive edge. You will work in a multidisciplinary and multinational environment with the support of a rapidly expanding, 200 staff company with top-class technological resources.


Your profile should allow you to work in Asia, Africa and South America in close contact with governmental agencies and ministries. A full understanding of your role as consultant, advisor and manager is seen as an important prerequisite. Perfect communication skills (oral and writing) in at least two languages are mandatory: English and French/Spanish/Russian/Arabic. Your missions will require to relocate for medium to long periods also to remote places.


Education desired:

  • MSc Degree in Geodesy, Land Management, Geo-Science or related fields



  • >3 years experience as a mining cadaster specialist, preferably in more than one mineral legislation
  • Knowledge of mining cadastre systems, especially in pre-cadastre phases (legal paper cadastre)
  • Proven overall project management experience
  • Understanding of GIS concepts and spatial data
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills
